why cant i open a word document from skydrive into word 2007

i am unable to open a document directly from skydrive when i click on the "open in word" button. it will ask for the safety prompt, then i will press ok, then it will open word. this is where the problem is. it doesnt even ope a new document, it just opens the window without any buttons, just a bare window, and then stops responding. how can i fix this?

Using the currency format in Excel online defaults to the dollar sign. Typing a £ sign at the beginning of a currency value is not recognised as a number. Is there any way the Microsoft Excel web app can be used in the UK?

Hi, I'm new to excel web app and was wondering if there is a way to specify timeout "timer"? I would to keep a session from timing out for longer than it is now. I know its based on activity level but some people who use my sheet would like to leave it for a while and be able to come back to it later on.

OneNote Search function while on SkyDrive

I often access my OneNote notes from the version on my SkyDrive. (I don't have OneNote for my Mac's, and I am often on a Mac; so I go to SkyDrive and access the notes that way.)

I don't see any search function presented to me. Is there one?

On a related note, most of my notes are sorted alphabetically--which helps to find them. But some newer ones--sometimes?--go to the bottom of the list--out of alphabetical order.

Can anyone help/advise:
1. Is there a search function in SkyDrive version of OneNote?
2. What can I do to get my notes to sort alphabetically inside a notebook?

The school I work at has recently updated its servers and we have changed email from outlook web access to outlook web app. I would like to be able to use the calendar in the web app so that staff can add dates to one calendar that all staff can view and edit. Is there any way to preserve formatting of a table from Word to OneNote? Since there is no OneNote for Mac, I don't have the option of working with the desktop application. I set up SkyDrive to share an Excel document and was initially able to choose either "Edit in Excel" or "Download" options.

Now, neither of these work. "Edit in Excel" gives an error like the path doesn't exist or the file is already open (which it isn't). "Download" gives a completely non-descriptive error like "unable to download." Now, I have to edit in the browser (which sucks!), and I can't download changed versions of the doc.

I wanted to watch the promotional video on Office 365 at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/online-software.aspx#fbid=pbCn9lWCVDx and when I click on the link, the vid window opens up and tells me I have to download Silverlight to watch it. When I go through the install, I'm informed I ALREADY HAVE the 64-bit version running on my computer.

Still can't watch the video, however - it thinks I need Silverlight!

Hi, I am comparing SkyDrive and Google Docs. First I like to thank you guys for the good works on Skydrive. There are two enhancements I like to see in next update.

1. The ability to edit word doc using Word Web App in Print Layout mode. it is hard to expect users to edit in web layout mode which doesn't respect all the paragraph and page formats.

2. Response time, I found Google Doc is more snappier especially on slow netbook class machine. Hopefully Microsoft can improve the performance of the Office Web Apps.

OneNote Web App via Skydrive (is all this info already recorded?)

Insert > Picture is resulting in "An error occurred while inserting this picture. Delete this placeholder and try again." This occurred for png, bmp, and jpg files, all under 16 kB.
