slow processing speed

The CPU will not raise above 23% and the processing speed will not go above .50GHz. This all started with the windows 10 upgrade. The other behavior I noticed is a very loud peeping noise. This happens when I try to rip a CD and look through file explorer.

I suggest you to run the System Maintenance troubleshooter and check if it helps.

a) Press Windows and X key together and select Control Panel.

b) Click on Troubleshooting.

c) Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows.

d) Click on System Maintenance option.

e) Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions to troubleshoot the issue.

If the issue persists, please install all latest device drivers including the BIOS updates from the manufacturer's website and check if it helps.

You may also install available Windows Updates and see if it makes any difference.
